BOLONIA:

Take the N340 towards Cádiz, pass Punta Paloma Bay and, after 5 km, take the turn-off to the left. This small road leads you to Bolonia, a fishing village that has retained much of its unspoilt character, with a beautiful beach and dune, as well as the Roman ruins of ‘Baelo Claudia’.

20 minutes

VEJER DE LA FRONTERA, MEDINA SIDONIA, JIMENA:

A day trip to the famous white villages. Each one has its own unique character that makes it special. Vejer and Medina can be combined into a day trip: a morning stroll through Medina, followed by lunch at the ‘Califa’ restaurant in Vejer whilst taking in the village. On the return journey to Tarifa, it’s worth taking a detour along the coast to pass through Caños de Meca and Barbate.

40 minutes

SEVILLA:

It’s difficult to see it all in just one day. It’s the jewel of Andalusia, a stunning, beautiful city with a unique atmosphere. If you only have one day, we recommend taking a sightseeing bus tour to get a taste of the city and its history. Bear in mind that temperatures can get very high in summer.

2 hours

GIBRALTAR:

A little slice of England where you can see the monkeys on the Rock and explore the caves inside it. In the town centre, you can buy duty-free goods. You must bring your passport or national identity card.

50 minutes

TÁNGER:

Step into a different world, with new smells, narrow streets teeming with people, charming little corners and Morocco’s most traditional markets. You can only travel there with a passport; otherwise, you’ll need to go on an organised tour booked through a travel agency.

Journey: 30 minutes

RONDA:

A pretty village that you reach by driving up some narrow mountain roads.

Temperatures are relatively low.

You’ll come across its main attraction, the ‘Balcón de Tajo’, and Spain’s oldest bullring.

2 hours

CÁDIZ:

It is the oldest city in Europe, boasting one of the most beautiful beaches with fine sand, a stunning cathedral offering panoramic views from the top, and the birthplace of carnival. A special recommendation is the Tavira Tower: the highest point in the old town, featuring a camera obscura that offers a unique 360-degree view of Cádiz. It is highly recommended to visit the large covered market in the morning and to visit the ‘Gran Teatro Falla’.

1 hour

JEREZ:

The birthplace of Sherry, a Designation of Origin in Jerez. You’ll be able to sample a variety of wines, ranging from the sweetest to the driest, in cellars that have been preserved for hundreds of years. You can also enjoy these wines and a flamenco show at the ‘Tabancos’, so called because they were once places where tobacco and bulk wine were sold.

Let yourself be swept away by the magic of the most elegant horse show and Andalusian equestrian art.

The Jerez Zoobotanical Park is currently home to the most significant zoological collection in Andalusia, with almost 900 animals belonging to more than 180 different species from all five continents. There you can see lions, giraffes, chimpanzees, hippos, caimans, reptiles, etc. The uniqueness and importance of the collection lie in the large number of endangered species it contains.

1,10 minutes

CASTELLAR:

Visit Castellar Castle, with the charming white village at its feet.

A special recommendation for children: experience a different kind of zoo with exotic species where you can touch the animals.
