Make the most of your stay – you can do whatever you like, provided you respect the other guests at the house.
We are here to help you throughout your stay.
Windows and ventilation: Tarifa is a region with very strong winds; the wind can pick up suddenly. Please ensure you close all windows when leaving the flat, as the flats are close to the sea and damp can build up, leading to mould growth, particularly if you leave a lot of damp towels and/or clothes in the flat. Please air the flat several times a day to prevent this damage.
Cushions, sun loungers and chairs: please put them away inside the flat after use (e.g. in the drawer under the bed) so that they don’t blow away in the wind
Parking: We can provide a parking space on request at an additional cost of €9 per day. Please book your space in advance and always use the allocated parking space.
Rubbish: please place your rubbish in the bins located 50 metres from ‘La Residencia’.
Internet: there is Wi-Fi in the house. The Wi-Fi password is tarifaresiden
Washing machine and tumble dryer: the laundry room, located on the ground floor beneath the stairs, is available for all guests to use. Please keep the laundry room clean. Please remember: you must empty the water tray (top left) that collects water from the tumble dryer and clean the lint filter after using the tumble dryer. Please make use of these facilities; however, if you need clean towels, you can hang the door handle on the sign indicating this so that they can be changed.

Heating in the bathrooms: The heating in the bathrooms is switched on in the mornings and afternoons as it is connected to a timer switch.
Microwave: if you need a microwave, please let us know.
Cats: Stray cats will be grateful for food and water, but please do not let them into the flats.
Save energy: to help protect the environment, please switch off the lights, air conditioning and heating when you leave the flat.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure your mobile phone doesn’t connect to a Moroccan network. Because of its proximity to Morocco, Moroccan coverage extends into the area and roaming charges can be very expensive.
Television
Switch on – Wait – Ready
You can choose between digital television (Spanish channels only) and satellite television (German, English, Russian, French, etc.) using the menu accessed by pressing the round ‘OK’ button (1). When the menu appears, press the red button (2) to select digital television (Spanish only) or the yellow button (3) to select satellite television (German, English, etc.). To close the menu, press the OK button (1).
We’ll let you in on a secret: the best view is from the window or the rooftop.
You can choose between digital television (Spanish channels only) and satellite television (international channels).
Air conditioning control panel
The air conditioning is switched on by pressing the orange button (1) in the middle of the control panel.
You can choose between three different programmes by pressing button (2).
Mode: You can select the function – ‘Cool’, ‘Dry’ or ‘Heat’ (3) (cooling, dehumidifying, heating) – on the left-hand side of the display.
You can select the temperature using the arrow keys (4).
In addition, you can choose between three fan speeds (5) by pressing the ‘Fan Speed’ button to select HIGH, MED or LOW (high, medium and low) (6) on the right-hand side of the screen.
You can switch the airflow from bottom to top and vice versa using button (7). The ‘LED Display’ button (8) allows you to switch off the LED display, as the light it emits may be a nuisance at night.
FanSpeed: You can choose from three fan speeds.

Kitchen
Switching on and off: Press the circle with a line through the middle (1) for one or two seconds.
Next, select the desired hob. Use the + and – buttons (2) to increase or decrease the temperature.
In some kitchens, you can use the double or triple ring to control the large hob.
Some hobs only work if you place pots or pans on top of the hotplates – induction hobs.
